  1. How can I distribute my software through sterkly?

    Anyone who owns a downloadable product, game, browser app, mobile app or other software can potentially work with us for distribution. Our distribution methods include a pay-per-install network, affiliate network and display inventory.

  2. What is the pay-per-install network?

    A network for publishers & advertisers who promote downloadable products including: software, games, Firefox add-ons and Chrome extensions. We will include your product in the installation path with other popular offers, drive traffic and you only pay for each unique install of your product from us.

  3. How does pay-per-install work?

    All the products in our pay-per-install network are free to download for the user. In order to keep the products free, we show advertisements during the installation process in the form of a complimentary download offer. The user has a choice to decline or accept this offer. When the user accepts the offer for your program then both pieces of software are installed.

  4. What happens after I sign up as a pay-per-install advertiser?

    After agreements have been signed, we ask you to send us some documents, including an installer, command line tracking and an offer screen. Next we build the installer, send it to you for approval and send you new users.

  5. What type of pay-per-install advertisers do you partner with?

    Our focus is on advertisers with a free software download, game, toolbar, free trial, or browser add-on. We vet all advertisers through our Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure every download is safe for the user.

Software Monetization

  1. How can I make money with my software through sterkly?

    You can make money with your free software, games and apps by showing complimentary product offers (ads) during the installation path of your software. The user chooses to accept or decline the offer to install the complimentary product and you are paid each time they accept and complete the installation process. This is called install path monetization.

  2. What is installer monetization?

    Installer monetization is a way for you to earn revenue from your free downloadable product. We will include offers for other software during the installation of your product. This is done by building a custom installer that includes your product and the complimentary offers that sterkly hosts and you send traffic to the custom installer hosted by sterkly.

    You are paid for each install of complimentary products included in your software installation.
